What is a shelf support strip system?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Shelf support strips are used to secure and position shelves within a unit. It usually consists of a metal strip fixed vertically inside a cabinet or bookcase or on a wall, and when combined with supporting studs to rest the shelf on, a really versatile and useful shelf system is the result. Different shelf support systems can offer flexible positioning, load-bearing stability, and a clean finish, and they are widely used across commercial, educational and domestic environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flat Bookcase Strip<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Designed for flush installation into a pre-machined stepped groove, the flat bookcase strip creates a discreet, integrated support channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flat design has the advantage of allowing shelves to fit flush against the inside faces of the shelving bay, and it can accommodate two different styles of shelf support studs: single-slot fixing flat studs or higher-load-bearing two-slot fixing double flat studs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raised Bookcase Strip<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This surface-mounted strip, sometimes called a top hat section because of its raised central profile, is quick to install without needing routed grooves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s ideal for educational and commercial furniture and perfect where speed of installation is a priority. It has a visible profile, so it\u2019s perfect for places with a more robust aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M Section Bookcase Strip<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018M\u2019 section shelf support strip is really flexible because it can be either flush or surface mounted, but it\u2019s also very strong. It\u2019s often used in modular or multi-purpose furniture because of its clean, consistent profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U-Section bookcase strips bring together the strength of the flat strip with the ease of installation of the raised versions, along with excellent load capacity and alignment flexibility.
