How much movement would you expect to see in a hinge after nearly 1.25 million test cycles?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooke Brothers began long-cycle testing<\/a> of its Loadmaster Plus hinge<\/a> on 20 February. By 8 September, the hinge had completed just under 1.25 million cycles, with very little movement recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measurements taken after testing showed approximately 0.01 mm horizontal movement and just 0.04 mm vertical movement. Plot those figures against the allowable movement under EN 1935<\/a>, and the result is particularly striking. Even after almost 1.25 million cycles, the movement is barely registering against the permitted zone.<\/p>\n\n\n
