EDM HOLE SPARKING
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) covers many different machine types, including wire erosion and die sinking erosion. The hole sparking service allows precision holes to be rapidly cut in production materials such as stainless steels, up to fully hardened tool steels. Utilised within the manufacture of the Cooke Brothers power transfer (conductor) hinge range, as well as tooling manufacture, it is available for use on bespoke products or as a specialised subcontract service. Holes from 0.2mm to 3mm and 0.1mm to 100mm in depth can be accommodated, with full CNC control and auto change electrodes for high speed production.
