Double Washered Architectural Hinges are a significant upgrade to Plain Knuckled Butt Hinges. The addition of a pair of freely rotating steel washers reduce wear to the knuckles. Periodic lubrication will still be required; however, maintenance will be less frequent than with the Plain Knuckle Hinges. They are an ideal choice for light or medium-traffic commercial environments such as offices. Where indicated the Double Washered Hinges are also Certifire Fire Door rated and suitable for use with standard door closer mechanisms.
