Hayley Small Celebrates 15 Years of Dedicated Service at Cooke Brothers

Hayley Small is celebrating fifteen years of service at master hinge makers Cooke Brothers During her time at the company Hayley’s commitment and evolution through diverse roles have been instrumental in the company’s growth and success.

Hayley joined Cooke Brothers in September 2008 as a Sales Administrator. Back in the day her responsibilities included managing phone communications, order entry, handling customer queries, and general administrative duties. Over the past 15 years, she advanced from a Sales Administrator to a Sales / Customer Service Advisor, later transitioning to an Internal Sales Advisor. She then took up the role of Sales Office Team Leader before settling into her current position as Sales Office Manager in 2021. In this leadership role, Hayley’s responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including customer quoting, account management, budgeting, customer visits, involvement in management tasks, marketing activities, exhibition planning, and the daily management of sales, office, and team.

But before she joined Cooke Brothers, Hayley’s had varied experience in different industries – such as container shipments, double glazing, and manufacturing for shower units – giving her a broad skill set. Her previous roles included service coordinator, medical receptionist, retail positions, and more.

Hayley’s academic journey mirrors her professional growth. She has qualified in Customer Service and Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration. In 2015, Hayley completed the GAI Foundation in Hardware, followed by enrolling in a fast track Level 1 & Level 2 Certificate in Architectural Hardware in 2016. By 2017, she had enrolled and passed her Level 3 Diploma first time, and since 2018, Hayley has been a Registered Architectural Ironmonger. Hayley is a regular attendee of Guild CPD events and is a committee member of the Midlands Community Hub.

Outside work, Hayley is passionate about swimming, music, dancing, and has a particular interest in serial killer and crime investigation documentaries. A dedicated mum to Jade, who also works part-time at Cooke Brothers, Hayley is a loving owner of her cat Monroe and two giant continental rabbits, Minnie and Mavis.
