This ability to custom-produce products goes back through our history as a British hinge manufacturer, dating back to 1872. In this case, the reindeer hinge has been made on our in-house laser cutting and punching machine, allowing us to make small, one-off production batches – including single prototypes with minimal and often zero tooling costs. We can even tweak designs as we go along to make your design vision a reality.

How the Reindeer Hinge was Made

So, how was this reindeer hinge made? It was produced on the Cooke Brothers laser press from 1.5mm thick material and 6mm bar (though it can cope with mild steel up to 8mm thick, stainless steel 6mm thick and aluminium up to 4mm thick). The machine it was made on cuts the shape and curls the knuckle in one process: fans of ASMR will undoubtedly enjoy this as the process is highly satisfying to watch. The pin is then added and retained by pressing the knuckles. All done in-house at Cooke Brothers.
